You can play a part in assembling the Democratic platform. Here's how. The precinct conventions begin on Tuesday, March 2 after the polls close, at about 7:15 p.m. Each convention takes place at that precinct's primary polling place. You can attend the convention with your printed resolutions on the political issues of your choice, and you can also sign up to be a delegate at the Senate District convention. For some ideas on how to write a resolution, or to print out one you would like to see included at your precinct, go to http://www.paa-tx.org/resolutions.

1. George W. Bush proposed the Vision for Space Exploration program, which became Constellation, in 2004 as part of his re-election campaign, but he did nothing to build support for the program.

2. Under Bush, no new money was provided to NASA to begin the Constellation program; money had to be taken from NASA science, robotic missions, and human spaceflight programs.

3. To find seed money for Constellation, Bush canceled the space shuttle program and planned to abandon the International Space Station less than five years after completion.

Remember to vote early at regular early voting locations and then attend your Precinct Convention at 7:15 on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at your regular voting location.
